Openings
Absolute Flow Pilates, 633 West Highway 50, O’Fallon, IL 62269: The new space also sells food from nearby French Polynesian eatery, Le Ono Restaurant.
Crunch Fitness, 411 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376: At 45,000 square feet, the gym also has a sauna, red light therapy, babysitting, tanning, fitness classes and more.
Everbowl, 1065 Beale Street, St. Charles, MO 63303: Everbowl is a fast-casual chain that sells açai bowls and smoothies. Locally, the brand has locations in Creve Coeur, Town and Country and Frontenac.
Jersey Mike’s Subs, 1039 Southern Ridge Lane, Lake St. Louis, MO 63367: This chain has more than 4,000 locations open and in development. The new Lake St. Louis store is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Kmo’s Corner, 1600 Mid Rivers Mall Circle, St. Peters, MO 63376: Kmo’s Corner sells diecast collectible model cars and accessories. It relocated from St. Charles Historic Main Street to the Mid Rivers Mall this year due to poor sales at its original location.
Love’s Bridal, 7330 Mexico Road, St. Peters, MO 63376: Love’s Bridal, a wedding gown boutique, has inventory from designers in Greece, Turkey and Italy. The business also offers custom embroidery.
Men’s Modern General Store, 5208 State Route N #103, Cottleville, MO 63304: This store sells barbeque tools, watches, grooming gear, car care and more.
MK Ranch Bar & Grill, 1000 Warrenton Shoppes, Warrenton, MO 63383: MK Ranch Bar and Grill has live music, pool tables, food specials and more.
Paddle Up Pickleball Club, 17057 North Outer 40 Road, Chesterfield, MO 63005: Paddle Up already has a location in Lake Saint Louis that boasts nine indoor courts, a concession stand and a pro shop. Its new location at The District will have tournaments, open play and classes.
The Reptile Room STL, 14390 Manchester Road, Ballwin, MO 63011: The Reptile Room is a unique interactive reptile zoo and supply store.
Smalls Sliders, 15751 Manchester Road, Ellisville, MO 63011: Unlike larger-scale build-outs of eateries, Smalls Sliders “cans†are constructed in Florida and driven to their location. Offered products include sliders, fries and milkshakes.
Top Shelf Beer, Wine, and Spirits, 6529 Godfrey Road, Godfrey, IL 62035: Top Shelf Beer, Wine, and Spirits has an online ordering option and drive-thru service.
Closings
America’s Incredible Pizza Company, 5254 South Lindbergh Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63126: This chain’s St. Louis location closed mid-August. The company said the decision to shutter is part of its long-term strategy as it prepares to the invest in the future of the brand.
Apollonia Mediterranean Greek Restaurant, 6836 Gravois Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63116: The phone line listed for this local Greek eatery has been disconnected and Google indicated that the eatery has permanently closed.
Bar K, 4565 McRee Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110: The dog park and bar closed abruptly in late July and then promptly filed for bankruptcy. Bar K’s owners said their decision to close was prompted by a “variety of challenges,†including “inflationary costs and expenses, an extremely difficult labor market and sharply reduced consumer spending.â€
El Burro Loco, 313 North Euclid Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63108: A year after its sister location closed in downtown St. Louis, El Burro Loco in the Central West End appears to have closed its doors and owes more than $350,000 in late taxes.
Mauki’s Bakery and Country Store, 1730 South 8th Street, St. Louis, MO 63104: In a post on social media, this Soulard business said it is closing due to the rising cost of insurance and utilities.
Nordstrom, 1453 St. Louis Galleria Street, St. Louis, MO 63117: Nordstrom confirmed that its last day in the Galleria was Aug. 24. It will be replaced by a Dick’s House of Sport, mall officials said.
Poptimism, 3711 Market Street, St. Louis, MO 63110: Poptimism has been making artisan popsicles since 2012. The business said the closure of its stand at the City Foundry is not a goodbye forever, but just a pivot for now.
St. Luke’s Des Peres Hospital, 2345 Dougherty Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63122: A statement from the health care provider, which operates a larger hospital in Chesterfield, said the decision followed “a comprehensive evaluation of occupancy trends, the evolving healthcare landscape, and St. Luke’s long-term strategic priorities.â€
