Video from the crowd shows Michigan’s Samson Nacua in a postgame altercation with a fan
It’s unclear what was said. Anybody who’s been to the Dome knows fans love to chirp players. Appears Nacua wasn’t happy about it..
ST. LOUIS — The Michigan Panthers player who slapped a St. Louis Battlehawks fan Saturday night has been suspended without pay for one game, the league announced Tuesday.
Wide receiver Samson Nacua of the Michigan Panthers also agreed to participate in community service events to be arranged by the league, which will be determined later.
After Saturday's Battlehawks win at The Dome at America's Center, a fan in a blue hat leaned over the railing in the first row, shouting at two Michigan Panthers players behind that team’s bench. Video of the incident was captured and shared widely on social media.
Nacua, the brother of Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, reached up and slapped the fan across the face with his right hand. The slap can be heard clearly on the video. Another Michigan player, cornerback Adonis Alexander, pointed at the fan and laughed after the slap.

On Monday, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said it was also investigating the incident and that officers had watched the video and opened an investigation.
Spokesman Mitch McCoy said the department was working to obtain footage from security cameras at the dome that caught the incident and the moments leading up to it.
The Battlehawks won 32-27 on a fourth-quarter trick play, then held on in a back-and-forth game in front of 30,604 fans at the Dome at America’s Center.
