St. Louis City SC goalkeeper Roman Burki is out for Saturday's match against Seattle with a broken bone in his hand.
The injury occurred in training Friday, and Burki will see a hand specialist in the next few days to determine the severity of the injury.
Burki recorded shutouts in all three of City SC's matches this season, including a nine-save performance Sunday in a 3-0 victory over defending MLS Cup champion Los Angeles Galaxy in California.
Ben Lundt got the start as goalkeeper for City SC in Saturday's game against the Sounders. Lundt started three games last season, twice in MLS play and once in a Leagues Cup game. Â
Burki burst onto the scene during City SC's debut season in 2023 and recorded 17 wins. He was named MLS goalkeeper of the year that campaign, when City SC won the Western Conference title.
