Blatt produced a spectacular Class 1 state meet last fall with a quartet of top-two finishes for the Colts, who won their third straight state title. He posted matching runner-up showings in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500 free and was a key piece to Central’s state champion 200 and 400 relay teams.
Luke Deutschman, senior, Eureka
Deutschman had a solid Class 1 state meet last season with four medal-winning performances. He finished sixth in the 500-yard freestyle and came in eighth in the 200 free. Deutschman was also a part of the Wildcats’ 200 medley and 400 free relay teams, which each finished eighth.
Dunker enjoyed a strong state meet last season for the Class 2 champion Junior Billikens. He won a state championship in the 200-yard freestyle, posted a third-place finish in the 500 free, was also a member of SLUH’s state champion 400 free relay team, as well as its third-place 200-free relay squad. Dunker has given a verbal commitment to Air Force.
Aiden Kim, sophomore, Clayton
Kim broke out as a freshman at last year’s Class 1 state meet. He earned a seventh-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle and also won the consolation final in the 500 free. Kim also helped the Greyhounds’ 400 free and 200 medley relay squads to finishes of second and third, respectively.
Clark Montgomery, junior, Webster Groves
Montgomery posted a quartet of top-four finishes at the Class 1 state meet last fall. He produced a third-place effort in the 100-yard freestyle and came in fourth in the 100 backstroke. Montgomery also helped the Statesmen 200 and 400 free relay teams to matching fourth-place finishes.
