A second-team All-Metro selection, Case claimed four individual championships last season for the Pirates. He picked up an all-state finish by crossing 11th in the Class 4 state meet. His personal-best time of 16:14.07 earned a third-place finish in the highly-competitive GAC meet. He had six different top-10 finishes as a junior.
Carson Driemeier, Festus

A first-team All-Metro selection last season, Driemeier won the Class 4 state title with a time of 15 minutes and 59.5 seconds. His personal best time of 15:05.9 was one of the fastest 5K times of area athletes. Finished junior season with four consecutive individual championships. Was fifth in the Forest Park Festival’s toughest division.
As a junior, Kloeppel won the Class 3A Quincy Regional title before claiming a 59th-place finish in the Class 3A state meet. Ran an area-best 14:37.6 time on a three-mile course at the Granite City Invitational. Finished third in the Southwestern Conference meet and posted a 15:27.5 time on a 5K course at the Forest Park Festival.
Drew Upperman, senior, Webster Groves
A third-team All-Metro selection last year, Upperman was a key cog on back-to-back state trophy teams in 2023 and 2024. He picked up a sixth-place finish in the Class 4 state meet with a 5K time of 16:27.6. His personal best time last season was 15:51.5. Won the First Capitol meet to open the 2024 season and had two other top-10 finishes last year.

A first-team All-Metro selection as a junior, Weber posted a season-best time of 14:48.6 on a three-mile course. He claimed the Mississippi Valley Conference title as well as winning Freeburg and Madison County titles. Won the Class 2A Jacksonville Regional, was sixth in the sectional meet and 13th in the Class 2A state meet.
