St. Louis University looks to have rounded out its transfer portal quest for the offseason, getting commitments from Brady Dunlap, a 6-foot-7 wing who played at St. John’s, and Ishan Sharma, a 6-5 guard who played at Virginia.
Both have three years of eligibility remaining.
Dunlap played in 10 games for St. John’s, missing time because of injuries that included one to his left hand that required surgery. He averaged 16.5 minutes per game and shot 37.5% on 3-pointers, averaging 5.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. He scored 20 points, and hit five 3s, in a game against Quinnipiac.
Dunlap told the New York Post he chose SLU because of his confidence in coach Josh Schertz and Schertz’s vision for him as a player. Earlier, he had told the paper he was looking for a school that better suited his skill set. Dunlap, who is from Southern California, had also visited Loyola Marymount, not far from where he grew up.

Dunlap fits the description of what Schertz told the Post-Dispatch he was looking for last week.
“We’re going to try to add one more guard that we think has the physical stature to be able to guard 4s but is a small forward who can handle, pass, shoot, to give us more versatility there,†he said.
Sharma, from Milton, Ontario, near Toronto, played 29 games for Virginia, averaging 3.4 points and 1.3 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per game. He has represented Canada at the U-16 and U-17 levels. He shot 33.3% on 3-pointers and 93.8% at the free-throw line.
SLU earlier had signed four transfers: forward Paul Otieno from Quinnipiac and guards Dion Brown from Boston College, Trey Green from Xavier and Quentin Jones from Northern Illinois.
