ST. LOUIS — St. Louis Public Radio CEO Tina Pamintuan is leaving the local stations to take the reins at the largest NPR outlet in Seattle.
St. Louis Public Radio chief of staff Jess Luther will serve as interim general manager beginning April 26, she announced in a on the STLPR website.
Pamintuan has been with the local public radio station for more than three years. She will become president and general manager of KUOW, which touts itself as the top news station in Seattle.
Luther has been at St. Louis Public Radio for 13 years, where she manages recruitment, internal communications, talent and culture efforts, according to her staff biography.

In February, the University of Missouri-St. Louis announced that St. Louis Public Radio was splitting off from the school, which had run it since its founding in 1972, and will be owned by the Friends of KWMU Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the public radio stations.
This transition is expected to take up to three years. Luther said she will remain the interim director throughout the process.
St. Louis Public Radio includes KWMU (90.7 FM) in St. Louis, KMST (88.5 FM) in Rolla and WQUB (90.3 MF) in Quincy. The organization also runs jazz and classical music streams online.Â
