St. Louis officials have released the names of the five people killed in the May 16 tornado.
The St. Louis Medical Examiner's Office Tuesday said they are:
- Larry Patrick, 82;Â
- Rena Scott-Lyles, 60, who was running toward the basement with her husband, Allen, when their Fountain Park home collapsed, a family member said.
- Delois Holmes, 70, mother of five and great-grandmother to eight, who died when her home in the Ville neighborhood collapsed;
- Patricia Penelton, 74, a volunteer at Centennial Christian Church in Fountain Park, who was trapped when the bell tower collapsed; and
- Juan Baltazar, 48, the owner of a Mexican street corn food truck who was killed by a tree that fell in Carondelet Park.

The EF-3 damaged thousands of buildings in a path from Clayton to Granite City. The worst damage was in north St. Louis, with collapsed buildings, roofs and walls torn off and cars flipped. Trees were overturned or branches fell along the tornado's path and in other places of the city.
